Research title: PhD in Metabolic Psychiatry

Research summary

I am a PhD student funded by the Hub for Metabolic Psychiatry, the Baszucki Group, and the Aitchison Family Bursary. With a background in biomedical science, I analyse large-scale GWAS data to investigate the shared genetic architecture between severe mental illness and metabolic diseases, with a focus on understanding the biological mechanisms that connect psychiatric and cardiometabolic risk.
