Explore the new Curriculum for Life (C4L) courses available to eligible students in 2026/2027. These new credit-bearing, elective courses will help you tackle real-world challenges and develop skills for your future!
Am I eligible?
In the Academic Year 2026/2027, C4L courses will be available to:
- Year 2 undergraduate students in the College of Arts & Humanities
- Year 2 MA Social Science students
- Year 1 and 2 BSc students in the College of Science & Engineering
- Year 1 and 2 BSc Psychology and Life Science students in the College of Medical, Veterinary, and Life Sciences
There are lots of courses to choose from under the 6 C4L themes:
- Climate & Environment
- Creativity & Innovation
- Health & Communities
- Power & Justice
- Leadership & Discovery
- Digital Literacy
Each course is worth 10 or 20 credits and is compatible with progressing to your preferred Honours combination, plus there are no pre-requisites.
The list of courses is currently being developed and is subject to change. More information on each course, including credits, assessment, and timetabling, will become available on the webpages ahead of enrolment in August 2026.
When enrolment opens in August 2026, C4L courses will be available in your course catalogue, ready for you to enrol.
