Looking for additional financial support and interested in what funding UofG offers? You can check out the support offered by our Financial Aid team. The team currently offers a number of schemes for students including:
Discretionary and Childcare Funds (UK Students)
The Discretionary & Childcare Funds are available to provide support towards the living costs of eligible UK students during their studies. This fund will close for term on 31 May 2026. Please contact the Financial Aid Team at the email address below if you have any unexpected financial difficulties over the summer period.
UofG Financial Support Fund (EU/International Students)
The UofG Financial Support Fund is an emergency fund for EU and International students experiencing financial difficulty.
Student Awards Agency for Scotland Part-Time Fee Grant (PTFG)
The PTFG is administered by SAAS (Student Awards Agency for Scotland) and provides help towards the cost of tuition fees for part-time Undergraduate students.
Dental Student Support Grant (DSSG)
Dental students at UofG who started in 2017-18 or later can apply for a grant of £4,000 a year from 2nd year onwards to help with the cost of their studies.
Rent Guarantor Scheme
The Scheme seeks to help students in obtaining accommodation that would otherwise be inaccessible due to the inability to secure a UK-based Rent Guarantor.
Under this scheme, the University can serve as a Rent Guarantor for rent payments associated with Short Assured and Private Residential tenancies.
University Laptop Loan Scheme
UofG students can request to use a laptop on a long-term loan basis from the University.
