We wish a joyful and prosperous Spring Festival to everyone in our community celebrating.
We wish a joyful and prosperous Spring Festival to everyone in our community celebrating. To mark this special occasion, we will light up the south face of the University on the 17th -21st February.
The Spring Festival is celebrated this year as the Year of the Horse and is a time when families and friends come together to welcome renewal, good fortune, and togetherness.
The Horse represents energy, progress, and vitality. As we also celebrate our 575th anniversary this year, we are marking this double celebration on our Chinese social media channels with three special 575 WeChat red pocket covers, a Chinese tradition to send greetings to family and loved ones. This year, we upgraded our joy with three special cover designs, from our regular single cover, to add even more festive energy to the Year of the Horse and our 575th anniversary celebrations! They are perfect way to send our University pride along with your festive wishes.
At the University of Glasgow, we value the cultural richness that our global community brings, and we hope the year ahead brings happiness, good health, and prosperity to everyone in our UofG family.
Watch our Principal, Professor Andy Schofield, send good wishes for a happy Spring Festival.
