Students' Representative Council Spring Elections 2026
Published: 9 February 2026
Nominations will open on Monday 9th February at 9am, and this is your opportunity to shape your student experience at the University of Glasgow.

Each year, students elect representatives to the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) – your student voice at the highest levels of University decision-making.
Our Spring Elections run in three key phases:
NOMINATE
Nominations open: 9th February – Nominations close: 20th February
This is your chance to stand for election. Whether you are passionate about improving your course, supporting student wellbeing, or leading change across the University, there is a role for you.
DECIDE
Hustings: 2nd March & 3rd March
Once nominations close, you will have the opportunity to read candidate manifestos, attend hustings, and hear directly from those standing for election.
VOTE
Voting opens: 4th March (9am) – Voting closes: 5th March (5pm)
Every fully registered University of Glasgow student gets to vote. This is your chance to choose who represents you and helps shape your University experience next year.
Over the coming weeks, we will share more information about the positions available, how to nominate yourself, and how the election process works.
In the meantime, start thinking: could this be your moment to step forward?
Full details will be available at glasgowunisrc.org/elections once nominations open.
If you have any questions ahead of time, feel free to contact us at elections@src.gla.systa-s.com
We look forward to seeing many of you get involved.
