Our MSc in Urban Analytics programme is recognised in the Digital Planning Education and Training Listing, established in 2026 by the UK Government’s Digital Task Force for Planning, highlighting our focus on digital skills in planning practice
We are pleased to announce that our MSc Urban Analytics programme has been recognised in the Digital Planning Education and Training Listing, established by the Digital Task Force for Planning. This listing highlights programmes that provide essential digital skills for planning professionals, reflecting the growing importance of data-driven approaches in planning and policy.
The MSc Urban Analytics equips students with the skills to work with urban big data and AI‑driven analytical methods, while understanding their practical and ethical limits. Students gain hands-on experience with GIS, statistical software, and programming, supported by strong links with the Urban Big Data Centre (UBDC) and industry partners through The Data Lab.
Being included in this listing recognises our programme’s role in preparing the next generation of planning professionals with the digital skills increasingly needed in modern urban planning.
