Our Research
The School of Education at the University of Glasgow is committed to social justice and high-quality education research and practice. We aspire to be a world leader in addressing the contemporary educational issues of our times and to making a difference for society’s most vulnerable and educationally disadvantaged.
Our commitment to social justice permeates all of our work, including our research and research-led teaching. Key research themes include urban learning, adult learning, youth transitions, migration and refugee education, collaborative schooling, and ethics in education.
How our research makes a difference
Research and Teaching Groups
The School's staff are organised into research and teaching groups (RTG's). These groups are split by broad, overarching themes, though there is significant overlap between groups and all are committed to social justice. Our researchers work across the entire education sector, integrating research, theory, policy, and practice.
