Research Data Manager (MVLS)
Stephen Fox is the Research Data Manager for MVLS, supporting researchers with data management strategy, storage planning and sustainable solutions for data‑intensive research, including imaging platforms such as OMERO.
Research Data Technical Specialist
Mary-Kate Hannah has three decades of experience working with data within population health research: supporting and collaborating with researchers at the University of Glasgow and previously at the University of Dundee. She supports the data services offered by RCaaS and contributes to capacity building in good research data management. Mary-Kate supports researchers with the technical implementation of their data management plans, provides technical guidance and support for the management of data throughout the research lifecycle, from planning and collection to storage, analysis, archiving and sharing.
Research Infrastructure Engineering
Research Computing Infrastructure Services Manager
Ali Rezaei leads Research Computing Infrastructure Services, supporting the design, delivery, and operation of high-performance computing platforms that enable advanced research across the University of Glasgow. With a background spanning computational physics, quantum simulation, and scientific software engineering, he brings over a decade of experience in HPC systems, large-scale simulation, and optimisation of research computing workflows. His work focuses on building scalable and reliable computing environments for complex modelling, data-intensive analysis, and interdisciplinary research. Ali has contributed to open-source scientific software including QuEST (quantum circuit simulation) and NESS (TCAD device modelling), and has led collaborative R&D initiatives linking academia, research infrastructure and industry. He is particularly interested in enabling researchers to tackle computational problems that would otherwise be impossible to explore.

Paul Grimwood leads the Research Software Engineering team. Passionate about supporting research across the University, Paul has worked in research (Applied Physiology, Neuroscience) and research supporting roles (Cultural Heritage, Seismology, Cancer Genomics) in universities and research institutes in the UK, USA and New Zealand for over thirty years.
