Applications for the CCNU Summer Program on Yangtze River Resources Utilization and Protection 2026 are now open
Endorsed and recommended by Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE), the Program is organized by College of Urban & Environmental Sciences, Central China Normal University (CCNU). Join this program, you will be guided to:
- Visit Longwang (Dragon king) Temple, Wuhan Waterfront, Xinglong Hydro‑complex Project, Gezhou Dam and the Three Gorges Dam, Jingjiang Embankment.
- Travel to Xiling gorge of the Three Gorges and Enshi Grand Canyon.
- Enjoy the ancient melodies of chime bells, read Qu Yuan’s (340–278 BC) poetry, walk through Jingzhou ancient city.
- Climb the iconic Yellow Crane Tower, tour Enshi Tusi City and visit the Xianling Mausoleum of the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644).
- Investigate Qianjiang rice‑crayfish co‑crop system and Chonghu wetlands.
- Visit ‘Three Gorges Family’ and Dong People’s Village.
Eligibility
The summer program is open to students from China and other countries; applicants should fulfill the following requirements:
- Aged between 18–35 and be in good health.
- English proficiency certificates (required for non‑English native speaking applicants; TOEFL, GRE, or IELTS scores are preferred forms of proof).
- Other required materials include the scanned copies of filled application form, CV, student card, passport, ID card, and electronic file of personal ID photo (3.5 × 5.3 cm color photo).
Associated Costs
- RMB ¥800 per person per day, altogether RMB ¥11,200 per person for 14 days.
Note: The fees cover the expenditures after you arrive in Wuhan and register for the program, including tuition, transport, accommodation, dining, tickets.
How to apply
- Create a personal account and activate your account by clicking the link in the confirmation e‑mail.
- Visit the “CCNU” international students’ application system at
http://ccnu.at0086.cn/student.
- Use the admission code “0331” to access the correct program category “Summer Program on Yangtze River Resources Utilization and Protection”.
- Fill out the application form, upload the required materials, and also send all materials to qiaohu-afang@ccnu.edu.cn before April 30, 2026.
- Pay the application fee.
- The program fee shall be paid within three business days after the program start. The students meeting the requirement might get some subsidies.
